Kempinski: spa access and a separate female-only area
Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea is a good match if a separate female-only spa area is a priority. Ishtar Spa by Resense also has mixed facilities: its menu describes the Jacuzzi and hydro pool as mixed. Spa facilities are for guests aged 16 and over.
As of 14 September 2026, non-resident spa access without a treatment costs 68 JOD per person, including applicable taxes. Booking a treatment of at least 60 minutes includes spa-facility access. The spa day pass excludes hotel restaurants, general hotel pools and beach areas; hotel-facility access requires an overnight stay.
Hotel residents pay 19 JOD per person from Sunday to Wednesday or 38 JOD from Thursday to Saturday for spa access without a treatment. Residents who book a spa treatment receive spa-facility access with it. Compare these conditions with your room package when budgeting for the stay.
For a trip centered on recreation for younger guests, Hilton or Marriott is a more relevant starting point.
Mövenpick: Zara Spa for guests aged 18 years and above
Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea suits travelers who want to combine a resort break with time at Zara Spa. Hydrotherapy pools, steam rooms and a hammam are among its attractions. Entrance and treatment fees apply.
In September 2026, the Zara Spa Experience is complimentary when you book treatments worth at least 100 JOD per person, per day. That is a treatment-spend threshold, not the standalone admission price. It gives you a concrete comparison: a treatment booking meeting the threshold includes the experience, while an ordinary room reservation should not be treated as that package.
Zara Spa’s minimum age is 18. Families can choose the hotel, but a parent planning spa time with a younger teenager should choose another activity together.
Marriott: water play and adults-only areas
Dead Sea Marriott Resort & Spa is a useful choice for a group with different priorities: children have Splash Island’s water-play attractions, alongside separate swimming options for grown-ups. The resort also has the Jungle Arcade. These are concrete reasons to compare Marriott with Hilton for a trip with children.
The on-site spa is named The Spa. Appointments are required, and entry is reserved for adults over 18. For a group including teenagers, plan spa appointments separately from activities everyone can share.
Marriott’s adults-only areas do not make the whole property child-free. Couples who require an adults-only hotel should not choose it on that basis.
Hilton: room arrangements and children's meals
Hilton Dead Sea Resort & Spa is worth comparing when your group needs connecting rooms. It also has a children’s pool, Sarab and Lower family pools, Infinity Pool for guests aged 16 and over, and direct access to the Dead Sea beachfront. As of September 2026, treatments are available in treatment rooms, but the main spa is not yet open and there is no guest-accessible Jacuzzi, sauna or steam room. Non-residents may book treatments. The minimum treatment age is 18, or 16 with a guardian at the spa. Published treatment-menu prices include tax and the 7% service charge.
As of September 2026, the Swim & 1-Hour Massage package for non-residents costs 75 JOD per person, including tax and the 7% service charge. It includes a one-hour massage and access to the swimming pools and beach. Book at least 24 hours in advance. There are currently no specific day or time restrictions, but availability depends on hotel occupancy; outside guests may not be accepted when the hotel is full.
For these non-resident options, choosing massage only or pool access only still costs 75 JOD per person. This rate does not replace the separate treatment-menu prices.
The meal policy can change your budget. Room packages including meals exclude children’s meal charges. Children aged 5 and under eat free; those aged 6 to 11 receive a 50% discount; guests aged 12 to 17 choose from the menus at displayed rates.

Holiday Inn: outdoor play, with a renovation caveat
Holiday Inn Resort Dead Sea offers a children’s pool and a spacious outdoor play area, alongside access to its private beach. It is a practical alternative for parents prioritizing the play area over a dedicated spa break.
Its 2026 guestroom-renovation notice matters when choosing a room. Before a non-refundable booking, request the current work location and whether your chosen accommodation is affected. A guest also reported construction beside the beach in August 2026.
If daytime quiet is essential, make an unaffected location a condition of your booking. Do not rely on a fixed renovation completion date.
