Nahal Rahaf Hiking and Technical Canyon Guide
Nahal Rahaf has hiking approaches and a separate technical canyon activity. They are not interchangeable. A marked hiking route does not by itself authorize a descent through the canyon.
Technical sections can require rappelling equipment, training, route knowledge, and compliance with current nature-reserve rules. Do not enter alone, improvise from a general travel article, or assume that an anchor makes a descent suitable for an inexperienced group.
Decide which activity you are planning
For a hike, follow one documented marked route and respect its turnaround point. For a technical descent, confirm the authorized section, current rules, equipment, and competence required for every participant.
Safety gate
Never enter when rain or flash flooding is possible. The published sources describe different routes and activities, so this page deliberately omits a universal distance and duration.
Route type: Hiking approaches plus a separate technical canyon activity
Critical distinction: Ordinary hiking guidance does not cover a rappelling descent
