Isrotel states that the fitness room is for guests aged 18 and over, but the English spa page does not give a clear general entry age for the full complex. Families should obtain that rule in writing rather than assuming that all hotel guests can enter every wellness area.

Herbert Samuel Hod is the current name of the renovated property formerly known as Hod Hamidbar. Its operator documents a 27-degree Dead Sea water pool, 30-degree sulfur pool, dry sauna, solarium, gym and 16 treatment rooms. Spa entry begins at 18.

The published overview mentions a Jacuzzi, while the detailed facility list does not repeat it. That does not prove it is closed, but it is a reason to confirm the current setup. Hod is a practical alternative to Milos when guests want an adult spa and central Ein Bokek access without the same design-led resort format.

Use Hod Hamidbar only as a historical alias. Current navigation, headings, schema and booking links should use Herbert Samuel Hod.

A spa-day option: Lot Spa Hotel

Lot Spa Hotel clearly documents day access for non-guests, subject to availability. Hotel guests receive access to the heated Dead Sea water pool, dry sauna, Jacuzzi and gym. The sulfur pool, hammam and treatments cost extra. Spa entry begins at 16.

This makes Lot one of the easiest properties to evaluate for a spa day without an overnight booking. Its official page publishes packages, but prices should be checked live because they can change by weekday, holiday period and package contents.

Lot also promotes health-oriented services. A hotel spa, mineral pool or massage is not medical care. Travelers seeking diagnosis or treatment for a skin, joint, cardiovascular or respiratory condition should use a qualified clinician and verify the credentials and location of any separate clinic.

A nature-and-spa alternative: Ein Gedi Hotel

Ein Gedi Hotel is outside the Ein Bokek tower district, inside Kibbutz Ein Gedi’s botanical garden. The setting works well for travelers combining wellness with gardens and nature-reserve visits.

Royal Dead Sea Hotel documents two heated Dead Sea water pools, a dry sauna, Jacuzzi and 17 treatment rooms. The official site says the spa, pools and gym are operating, but does not clearly publish an entry age. Confirm access terms directly.

Leonardo Plaza Dead Sea documents Dead Sea and sulfur pools, wet and dry saunas, a whirlpool and 30 treatment rooms. It is a large family hotel, not a quiet spa retreat. The operator currently advertises a shuttle to Herods Beach, so treat spa facilities and beach access as separate booking checks.

Leonardo Club Dead Sea combines all-inclusive family facilities with a spa for guests aged 16 and over. The spa describes a heated Dead Sea water pool, thermo-mineral pool, sauna, whirlpool and treatments. Families should not confuse the hotel’s children’s program and water slides (the operator still marks the water park temporarily closed in September 2026; confirm reopening) with access to the adult spa area.

Herods Dead Sea normally presents one of the area’s larger wellness complexes, but its current operator page reports renovation work. The same notice says the gym renovation is under way and the Jacuzzi is inactive and that shuttles are being provided to nearby Leonardo hotels. Do not select Herods for a specific spa facility until the hotel confirms it has reopened.

Why Leonardo Inn is not listed as a spa hotel

Leonardo Inn Dead Sea remains a current hotel, but it does not have an on-site spa. Leonardo’s current FAQ says guests can use the Leonardo Plaza spa for an extra fee and must travel there independently. The hotel publishes conflicting transfer information, including a reference to a shuttle. Book Leonardo Inn as an economy hotel with possible off-site spa access, not as a spa resort.
