King Hussein bin Talal Convention Centre at the Dead Sea

The King Hussein bin Talal Convention Centre is a large meetings and events venue on Jordan’s eastern Dead Sea shore. Managed by Hilton, it is designed for conferences, exhibitions, business meetings, receptions and large private events.

It belongs in the Jordan meetings and business-travel inventory, not in the hotel directory. Nearby accommodation can support an event, but the convention centre is a separate venue with its own booking and operational requirements.

Venue scale and event formats

Current Hilton and Jordan Tourism Board information describes more than two dozen meeting spaces across three levels, with configurations for events of up to approximately 3,000 people. The spaces include large halls, smaller meeting rooms, foyers and outdoor areas.

Capacity depends on the room layout, staging, catering, production equipment and safety plan. Use the venue’s current capacity chart for the exact event rather than a general maximum.

Planning accommodation

The Hilton Dead Sea Resort and Spa is adjacent to the convention centre, and other Jordan Dead Sea hotels are within the wider Sweimeh resort area. Do not assume that a venue contract includes bedrooms or that every delegate can walk from a chosen hotel.

Request a room-block proposal separately. Compare check-in, transport, accessibility, breakfast, security and cancellation terms across the actual dates.

Production, catering and access

Ask which audiovisual systems, interpretation services, loading access, internet, power, staging and catering are included. Large international meetings may also need customs planning for equipment, visa support and secure delegate transport.

Confirm accessible arrival routes, lifts, toilets, seating and emergency procedures for the rooms being used. A general accessibility statement does not replace an event-specific walkthrough.

Combining business and leisure

The Dead Sea location makes it possible to add meals, shoreline time or regional excursions, but these should be optional and separately risk-assessed. Build the business schedule first, then add activities with realistic transfer time and weather considerations.

Use the Jordan Dead Sea planning guide for destination planning. Do not route attendees through Israel pages when the event and accommodation are in Jordan.
