The best way to escape the Israeli desert heat, is going underground.

Discover a different world through a once in a lifetime adventure, and explore the most beautiful place the Dead Sea has to offer.

Mt. Sodom seats on the south side of the Dead Sea, but under the curtains of dust and sand it holds a forbidden secret…

The mountain is a home to one of the rarest phenomenons on the planet:

Salt Caves!

Colorful and alien, beautiful and mysterious, the caves will take you to the heart of the salt mountain of Sodom. But the beauty of the cave is only matched by the adrenaline rush you get inside of it.

More than 180 caves are hidden in the dumbfound Mount Sodom and we chose for you the top you can explore.

Join Wild-Trails, one of the top adventure companies in the Middle East, for a great excursion even Indiana Jones didn’t dare joining.

This tour departs regularly every Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

Private tours are available every day

The Adventure:

The adventure kicks off with hiking on Mt. Sodom’s most beautiful trail, passing a few viewpoints and a piece of modern history. After hiking you will witness the grand view of the Dead Sea and the beautiful Jordan mountains. The last viewpoint is one of only a handful in the world where you can witness an amazing geological trait.

Now it’s time to get down and dirty (literally).

You’ll enter the cave rappelling down an 84 meter shaft, descending into darkness, into a different world…

Join the tour as you’re going to crawl, squeeze and navigate through the bowels of the mountain for a once in a lifetime adventure!

There are different levels of Salt caving tour and you can also upgrade the tours with a variety of activities.
