Lower Nahal Og Loop Hiking Guide

Lower Nahal Og Loop Hiking Guide

Lower Nahal Og offers a compact canyon hike near Almog and the northern Dead Sea. The marked lower route enters a narrow canyon with steep passages and fitted aids.

This is not a level walk. Choose it only if everyone in the group can use the fitted sections safely and is comfortable with height exposure. Published descriptions count the fitted drops differently, so this guide does not give a waterfall count.

Choose one route description

Use a current map and confirm the marked lower-canyon variant before starting. Do not combine a distance, duration, or junction from another Nahal Og route.

Safety gate

Do not enter when flash flooding is possible. Check current official notices on the day of the hike and change the plan if the route is closed or conditions are uncertain.
